From the ashes of a post-hardcore University dalliance band, Parades Underground swiftly metamorphosed into a scorching metal side project, fueled by unrestrained fury and an enthralling fusion of melody and aggression. With an overwhelming force, the band crafts an unpredictable musical structure that ensnares listeners in its relentless grip. At the heart of this blazing inferno are two exceptionally gifted musicians: Graham Warner, the creative genius behind guitars, bass, drums, and clean vocals, and Simon Ayres, the commanding presence behind the powerful metal vocals.
The roots of Parades Underground were sown during Graham and Simon’s university days in Leicester. Their initial collaboration under the moniker “And The Crops Failed” set them on a musical odyssey that eventually gave birth to the incendiary entity known as Parades Underground. Influenced by metal titans like Korn, System of a Down, Kyuss, Refused, Machine Head, and Nirvana, the duo wholeheartedly embraced the thunderous realm of metal, a genre that resonated deeply within their souls.
While their earlier days witnessed numerous gigs around Leicester and London under their previous band’s banner, Parades Underground later shifted its focus to music production, unshackled by the constraints of live performances. Graham’s exceptional talent allowed him to masterfully handle all the instruments, presenting an intriguing challenge when contemplating future live shows.

Fueled by their music and a few libations, the duo breathed life into this project. The EP’s title track remains enigmatic, with Simon cryptically alluding to its theme as “politics,” inviting listeners to explore its depths with their imagination.
The four-track EP embarks listeners on an emotive expedition through a myriad of themes. “Breakneck” delves into Graham’s online internet debating hobby, unearthing the dark desires it occasionally stirs.
