Transgalactica – “Reweaving the Rainbow”

Polish progressive rock duo Transgalactica, known for their cerebral compositions and their unique blend of classical inspiration and hard-edged rock, takes a bold and unexpected creative leap with their new single “Reweaving the Rainbow.” Released as part of their ongoing evolution toward more expansive, philosophical songwriting, this track marks a stunning departure from their usual adult-oriented themes—embracing children’s music without sacrificing their trademark sophistication.

At first listen, “Reweaving the Rainbow” beams with a sense of wonder and optimism. The melody draws clear inspiration from Igor Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, a neoclassical masterpiece filled with playfulness and reimagined historical motifs. Transgalactica channels this spirit effortlessly, infusing the single with bright, agile musicality and a touch of classical charm. Yet underneath the child-friendly accessibility is a larger, more ambitious intention: to ignite imagination and encourage young listeners to envision a future built on unity, human rights, scientific progress, and reason.

This is where Transgalactica’s identity shines most. The band—formed by father-and-son duo Tomasz and Filip Bieroń—has always created music rooted in thought, philosophy, and psychology, drawing heavily from the ideas of celebrated cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker. Their debut album Better Angels introduced audiences to their meditative, persuasive approach to progressive rock, and their upcoming sophomore release Onwards and Upwards promises to continue that trajectory. Yet “Reweaving the Rainbow” stands out for its warmth and openness, offering an enlightened message accessible to all ages.

Much of the song’s magic comes from vocalist Lukky Sparxx, who is known for his powerful heavy-metal delivery but here adopts a gentler, melodic tone that perfectly suits the track’s uplifting spirit. His performance adds emotional depth without overwhelming the song’s whimsical brightness, proving his versatility and reinforcing the band’s willingness to experiment.

Lyrically, the track is vibrant and symbolic. Colors become metaphors for the pillars of a thriving society—red for human rights, green for rule of law, yellow for science, violet for reason. The chorus feels like a call to action: a reminder that enlightenment isn’t abstract, but something we build through knowledge, compassion, and creativity. It’s rare to find a progressive rock band using children’s music as a vehicle for civic values and intellectual optimism, but Transgalactica manages to do so without sounding preachy or didactic.

Part of what makes this single—and the band as a whole—so compelling is their artistic worldview. Tomasz’s background as a translator of major literary figures, combined with the duo’s fascination with Pinker’s writings, gives their music an academic richness. Their use of AI for conceptual music videos further reflects their forward-thinking attitude. While some listeners may take issue with this technological integration, the band has been transparent: the music is entirely human-made, and AI serves only to create visuals otherwise impossible within their means.

In “Reweaving the Rainbow,” Transgalactica shows a new side of themselves—one that is colorful, hopeful, and unafraid to push beyond genre expectations. It’s a refreshing and imaginative single that manages to be both playful and profound, offering not only a song for children but a reminder to adults of the values that weave societies together.
