Taylor Swift Mesmerizes Pittsburgh Crowd with Debut Performance of “Seven” alongside Aaron Dessner

Taylor Swift continues her highly anticipated Eras Tour, with her recent performances taking place in Pittsburgh at the Acrisure Stadium. Over the weekend, Swift treated fans to two memorable nights of music. During the Saturday night show, as part of her surprise songs segment, she surprised the audience by inviting Aaron Dessner to join her on stage. Together, they performed the beloved track “seven” from her album “folklore,” marking its live concert debut. The only other time the song had been performed was during Swift’s Long Pond Studio Sessions.

Swift praised Dessner as a “soul-mate collaborator” while addressing the crowd. In honor of Father’s Day, she also took a moment to acknowledge all the “amazing dads” in the audience. She shared her own admiration for her father, stating, “I was thinking about the song we were gonna play because – and I’m not trying to brag – I have a really incredible dad. This song we’re gonna play is about having really fond memories of childhood and growing up in Pennsylvania. I always wanted to play this song in Pennsylvania.” With those words, she launched into the heartfelt performance of “Seven.”

This wasn’t Dessner’s first appearance on the Eras tour. He previously joined Swift on stage in Nashville, and it is anticipated that he will make further appearances during the upcoming tour stops in his hometown of Cincinnati in a few weeks. During the Pittsburgh show, Dessner playfully referenced the sports rivalry between Pittsburgh and his city, saying, “I come from down the river in a rival city.”

Aside from the surprise performance of “Seven,” Swift also delighted the audience with other unexpected song choices. Over the course of the weekend, she performed “The Story Of Us” on Saturday night and “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “The Last Time” on Friday. Notably, “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” which originally appeared as a vault track on “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” also received its live debut during the concert.

Fans were thrilled by the surprises and left the Acrisure Stadium with unforgettable memories of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
