Lazywall’s Empowering Anthem: “Dem 3la Dem” Sparks Climate Change Awareness

Lazywall, the Moroccan band, is causing a sensation with their latest single, “Dem 3la Dem,” an impactful musical call-to-action addressing climate change and the urgent need for collective efforts to safeguard our planet for future generations. The trio’s exceptional fusion of oriental rock/metal elements, combined with traditional Arabic time signatures and instruments, delivers a captivating musical experience that transcends language barriers and unites diverse cultures.

Singing fearlessly in Arabic, Lazywall explores socially relevant themes like climate change, social injustice, integration, and corruption. Their emotionally charged lyrics and visceral intensity deeply resonate with audiences, sparking meaningful discussions and inspiring positive change.

Originally formed in Reading, England, by brothers Nao, Youssef, and Monz, who left Tangier to pursue their education, Lazywall draws inspiration from iconic bands such as Led Zeppelin, Audioslave, System Of A Down, and revered musicians like Bob Dylan and Van Morrison. Their mission is to bridge the gap between the oud and the rock guitar, forging a unique musical connection that spans from the Orient to the Occident.

Having signed with Warner Spain, leveraging their dual Moroccan and Spanish nationality, Lazywall embarked on a transformative journey to Chicago to record their debut EP, “Primal Tapes,” under the guidance of the legendary Steve Albini. The band has since graced illustrious stages, including SXSW and various European festivals, etching their name in history as the first-ever rock band to perform on Moroccan TV.

While their English language records garnered praise, a pivotal performance in front of 50,000 compatriots at the Festival of Casablanca highlighted a crucial aspect in their sound: their native language. Committed to expressing their message authentically, Lazywall made a profound decision to write songs in Arabic. Their dedication to addressing significant issues, even the most sensitive and challenging, fuels the band’s musical narrative with genuineness and conviction.

“Dem 3la Dem” stands as a testament to Lazywall’s artistic evolution and unwavering dedication to creating a meaningful impact through their music. Their captivating fusion of traditional Arabic sounds with the energy of alternative rock underscores the universality of their message, elevating “Dem 3la Dem” to an empowering anthem for climate change activism and social consciousness. As Lazywall continues to break boundaries and unite diverse audiences, their musical journey promises to leave an indelible mark on the global stage.
