They booked Pirate Studios for a tranquil Sunday recording session, only to discover a massive DnB rave in full swing. The venue was packed with revelers, empty cans littering the floor, and even some unexpected surprises. The thunderous bass from the rave infiltrated their recording, necessitating extensive editing to exorcise its sonic remnants. What began as a quiet session turned into a sonic adventure of unexpected proportions.
The single, “Handsome Boy,” was meticulously crafted through a DIY approach. Mixing duties oscillated between Earth Studios Norwich and a humble bedroom. Every aspect of production was masterminded by the band members, with assistance from a friend at Ninth Paradise, who lent his expertise in recording the drums.
