Amidst the chaos of a world in turmoil, New York’s own Dead Superstar emerges from the shadows with a ferocious new track, “These Voices.” A heavy yet melodic rock machine, Dead Superstar is on a mission, and their latest offering is nothing short of bone-crushing brilliance.
As the pandemic raged on, Dead Superstar took refuge in their jam room, emerging with a polished live performance and a catalog of crushing new songs. Led by the formidable vocalist Terence Keith, the band has carved out a name for themselves on the road, sharing stages with heavyweights like Buckcherry, Sevendust, and Five Finger Death Punch.
Now, Dead Superstar presents “These Voices” to the world—a blistering testament to their unyielding passion and unwavering talent. Recorded at JustDefy Studios and produced by Corey Lowery of Seether fame, the track is a sonic assault on the senses, with guitarist Justin Golddat, Michael Bohm, bassist Charlie O’Neil, and Jess DeBellis on keys and knobs weaving together a tapestry of sound that captivates and enthralls.
But “These Voices” is more than just a song—it’s a rallying cry against the oppressive forces that seek to drown out individuality and freedom. In the cover art for the track, a finger points accusingly at a screaming face trapped within a television screen—a powerful symbol of the authoritarian voices that dictate their poisonous views upon society.
Band founder and vocal virtuoso Terence Keith explains, “The finger in the TV that is pointing at the screaming face symbolizes all these authoritarian voices we deal with on a daily basis that are dictating their poisonous views upon us all. Continually dragging society down with unnecessary turmoil, unreasonable demands, and hardcore restrictions that weigh heavy on every person’s mind and spirit.”
“These Voices” serves as the first single from Dead Superstar’s forthcoming EP, “Rid The Fear,” set to release later this Spring. Joining the track are additional tunes like “Loose Strings,” “Without You,” the two-step “Firewoman,” “The Anthem,” and the bonus song “Our Life As We Know It”—each one a testament to the band’s unwavering commitment to their craft and their message.
In support of the record, Dead Superstar is gearing up for a slew of 2024 tour dates beginning in March, promising an electrifying live experience that fans won’t soon forget. As they prepare to hit the road, Dead Superstar stands as a beacon of defiance, challenging the status quo and inspiring listeners to rise above the noise and reclaim their voices.
With “These Voices,” Dead Superstar reminds us that even in the darkest of times, the power of music can light the way forward. So crank up the volume, and join Dead Superstar on their journey to rid the world of fear and oppression—one electrifying riff at a time.
