Coming together after a Chris Cornell tribute gig in early 2018, Outsound has been dedicated to creating original material. Their debut singles, “Vertigo Breeze” and “Missing Out,” independently released in 2020, marked the beginning of their musical journey. Meanwhile, Luke on drums and Aaron on bass were honing their skills with alt-metallers, Archaós.

This refinement led to a progressive edge, intertwining hard rock foundations with melodic vocals, atmospheric bends, searing leads, and energetic breakdowns. Building on the momentum of their 2021 singles, Outsound embarked on writing their debut album.
In 2022, the band entered Ivy Hill Studios with Fintan McKahey, and the creative process flowed effortlessly. “Megatherium” boldly draws from blues, grunge, heavy metal, and even incorporates Beach Boys-flavored harmonies. With this rich tapestry of influences, Outsound is ready to share their musical madness with the world.
Vocalist and guitarist Steve Beale, alongside vocalist and lead guitarist Alan Murphy, showcase their dynamic range and commanding presence. Luke Butler’s vocals and drumming skills provide a solid foundation, while Aaron Kennedy’s bass lines anchor the band’s sound.
