The track is elevated by LokkisKott’s haunting vocals and poignant lyrics, delivering an authentic and unfiltered sonic experience.
The single resonates particularly with admirers of vocalists like Chester Bennington or Corey Taylor, as well as enthusiasts of the musical landscapes explored by bands such as Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. With its undiluted emotional intensity, “Deep Inside” is poised to captivate and resonate with audiences in search of an authentic and profound musical journey.
LokkisKott, the creative mind behind the endeavor, offers insight into the origins of his artistic persona, revealing, “I coined the artist name ‘LokkisKott’ by combining my first and middle names, Lachie and Scott. I emphasized the ‘K’ in LokkisKott to create a dual significance of ‘Lokki’s Kott,’ representing ‘Lachie’s Cot.’ This alludes to my childhood cot, where my ‘inner child’ now rests.”
Hailing from Goulburn, New South Wales, LokkisKott is the brainchild of the multi-talented musician Lachie Alford. His varied interests, spanning cinema, theatre, storytelling, and the profound expression of life experiences, infuse his songwriting and creative process with a unique and authentic depth. Alford’s personal philosophy guides the project, emphasizing the importance of seizing opportunities and pursuing passions without hesitation. He emphasizes, “Life is too short for regrets. Pay attention to what ignites that inner fire, and muster the courage to chase it! Everything you need lies along that path.”
Reflecting on the inspiration behind his impactful debut release, LokkisKott elaborates, “For ‘Deep Inside,’ I aimed to craft something distinctive and impactful that would astonish listeners, while allowing space for future growth. I believe there is immense potential, and I am driven to sustain that fervor.”
As a self-taught artist with a keen ear for music, LokkisKott’s journey commenced with legendary rock act AC/DC, followed by a deep affinity for bands like Slipknot and Linkin Park. These musical influences were shaped by his upbringing and life experiences, particularly during his formative school years.
LokkisKott’s personal journey unfolds further, “Towards the end of high school, I developed a fascination with vocals. Though uncertain of its origin, my most profound influence was Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, whom I deeply admired. During my earlier years, I distinctly recall ‘What I’ve Done’ in the Transformers movie. I spent significant time searching for its source. In the 2003 film ‘S.W.A.T,’ I encountered a snippet of ‘Figure.09’ and was captivated by its sound, driven to identify the artist. Chester’s voice resonated with its inherent power and character, masterfully balancing angst and solace. Linkin Park’s diverse sound and the dynamic partnership of Chester and Mike ignited my passion. Later, I acquired their Meteora album along with others. Upon hearing ‘Somewhere I Belong’ and ‘Figure.09,’ I was awestruck, rekindling cherished memories from my childhood.”
The inception of “Deep Inside” traces back to LokkisKott’s early teenage years. The song’s essence was refined over time, awaiting the ideal moment for production and release.
In a heartfelt expression of gratitude to all supporters of his musical journey, LokkisKott concludes, “I extend my appreciation to all who encouraged me, contributed to recording, mixing, mastering, photography, Instagram promotions, and the forthcoming support on my musical expedition. ‘Deep Inside’ marked an extraordinary journey, and each one of you played a part. This memory is etched in my heart eternally!”
