The distinctive use of tube amplifiers on this album sets it apart from many other rock offerings. While numerous artists explore their sonic palette using emulators or simulators, I remain true to the formula etched into my soul – a Les Paul through a 100w Marshall, just like the first time I was enraptured by Def Leppard’s ‘Hysteria.’ When you’re committed to that sound, the album’s foundation is rock-solid.
I acknowledge that rock may not reign supreme in today’s mass music market. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that this decline simply paves the way for a resurgence, provided that we, the rockers, continue to have faith in its enduring potency. For this album, I took the reins for all instruments and vocals, except for the drums. Why? Well, partly because the pandemic made it challenging to summon other musicians to the studio, but also because the more I experimented, the more I realized I could do it all!”
